Welcome

Seeking mental health and grief support for the barriers and challenges that naturally present themselves in our lives can be a daunting task. At Vibrance Counselling, expect compassionate and caring approaches to help begin to navigate some of those challenges in a comfortable and private space.

You’ve taken the first step already, let’s begin to foster your vibrant life together.

Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

We can explore what is important to you, and work to connect meaning to your life experiences. The therapy journey can also include finding opportunities to set goals and discuss preferred outcomes for growth or change collaboratively to help promote your healing and wellness. I offer a nonjudgmental and confidential space where you will have an opportunity to have a compassionate conversation looking at multiple perspectives and strategies for: improving communication, managing anxiety, stress, depression, and improving your self-confidence.

Grief Therapy

Each person’s grief is a unique and personal experience. Grief is not something that needs fixing, but through bearing witness to your emotions and pain, we can work together to help incorporate your grief into your life in a healthy and understanding way. Your grief journey is about where you are, and about how you feel, and cannot be about another’s agenda or timeline. Experiencing grief can be a very isolating path to walk. Let’s begin that walk together to bring some vibrance back into your life.

Pet Loss Therapy

Your pet has become ill, and you’ve had to make a difficult decision for the comfort of your cherished companion. You may have suddenly experienced a tragic loss as a result of an accident. Or it may be that a long life is nearing an end, which means anticipating a challenging goodbye. Let’s create some space to talk about difficult emotions and ways to explore meaning and memories. You’re not alone.

About Me

I am a registered social worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and received my Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am passionate about providing trauma-informed mental health and grief support to adults of all ages. I have specific experience working with first responders, and those transitioning careers. Outside social work, I also have a background in Animal Bioscience and IT.

Using an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches drawing on elements of CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Narrative, and Solution-Focused therapies, I provide a client-centred and collaborative therapeutic space. My specialized training includes EMDR, grief therapy, narrative therapy, pet loss, suicide bereavement, and trauma counselling.
